Caroline Adams

     Caroline (Baron) Adams, 75, of Cromwell, CT died Friday April 6, 2012 at Middlesex Hospital after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family.

     She was born in Middletown, CT, the daughter of the late Quentin L. and Caroline (Helenek) Baron. She spent her early years in Higganum, CT, New York City, and later moved upstate to Mohawk, NY, where she graduated from Mohawk High School and received a degree in Secretarial Science from Utica College. She was employed by General Electric and later dedicated her life to raising her family. She loved the ocean, watching sports, and enjoyed opening days at Saratoga.

     She is survived by her four children, daughters Caroline Adams and her partner Mary Sytek of New Haven, CT, Karen Zoccoli and husband Nicholas of Berlin, CT, and sons, Frank Adams of Colchester, CT, and John Adams and wife Helene of Gorham, ME; five brothers and two sisters, George Baron and wife Paula of Mohawk, NY, William Baron and wife Mary of Chenalis, WA, Susanne Baron of Cohoes, NY, Charles Baron and wife Patricia of Albany NY, Robert Baron and wife Deborah of Voorheesville, NY, Kathleen Lannon and husband Michael of Latham NY, and John Baron and wife Kim of Cape May, NJ. She was very proud of her family, and especially loved spending time with her six grandchildren, Ben, Luke & Jack Adams, and Nicholas, Jonathan & Vika Zoccoli. Additionally, she was blessed with many nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
 
     Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by a 9 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Peter Church, Higganum. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chester. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Those who wish may send memorial contributions in her name to Middlesex Weiss Hospice Unit, Middlesex Hospital Office of Philanthropy, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown CT 06457.
