OBITUARY

Bro. J. D. Edmonson was born September 25, 1924 to the late Andrew and Pearl Holden Edmonson in Redland community. He departed this life on Friday March 9, 2012 at the Sabine Retirement Center Many, Louisiana.

He united with Redland Baptist Church at an early age, were he became a faithful member until his health failed.

Bro. Edmonson was married to the late Sis. Dessie Lewing Edmonson for 52 years, and to this union ten children were born, three girls and seven boys.

Bro. J. D. Edmonson leave to cherish his memory: Seven children: Donny (Amy) Edmonson and Pearl Garner both of Negreet, LA; James (Alice) Edmonson and Delton (Thelma) Edmonson both of Many LA; Derry (Debra) Edmonson of Waco, TX; Curtis (Gloria) Edmonson of Las Vegas, NV; and Willie Edmonson of Galveston, TX. One daughter-in-law Effie Edmonson of Florien, LA. One sister Fay Edmonson; Three brothers Ponder (Bonnie) Edmonson, Joe (Barbara) Edmonson and Bobby (Carolyn) Edmonson all of Houston, TX. Thirty three grandchildren, thirty seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. A great host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
