Ethel Brown, 93, of 1604 Edgerton Street, Goldsboro died Sunday in the Kitty Hospice Center.
She was born September 30, 1918 in Wayne County to the late Cleveland and Viola Lewis Whitfield. She was preceeded in death by her husband Rastus Brown.
She is survived by two daughters Janet Brown of the home, Faye Hill and husband Charles of Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the Mt. Carmel FWB Church with Apostle Norbert Simmons, officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery.
Visitation Friday from 2 PM until 6 PM in the Lander Coe Parlor of Haskins Funeral Home, Goldsboro. Mrs. Brown will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
