Victor A. Albanesi age 72 of Newtown formerly of Danbury and Norwalk died Wednesday March 14, 2012 in Danbury Hospital. He is the husband of Edith (Kaestner) Albanesi.

Vic was born August 4, 1939 in Norwalk, CT a son of the late Umberto and Ethyl (Bennett) Albanesi. He was a 1957 graduate of Norwalk High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools, Student Council, Red Cross Council and the Boys Choir. Vic was employed as office supervisor for Nash Engineering in Norwalk, CT for 41 years. He was a board member of APICS for 40 years and enjoyed bowling and golfing, but his favorite pastime was family time and camping trips.

In addition to his wife of 46+ years, Vic is survived by five children; Kim-Marie Slocum of Jensen Beach, FL, Theresa "Giggles" Boyer of Hudson Falls, NY, David Albanesi and his wife Dianne of Bethel, CT, Sheila Ward and her husband Robert of Newtown, CT and Dawn Albanesi of White Haven, PA; five siblings; Delores Moorman of Danbury, CT, Aletha Yuftczak of Newtown, CT, Allen Albanesi of Florida, Rhonna Albanesi of Danbury, CT and Lorraine Zweeres and her husband Raymond of Bridgeport, CT; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is predeceased by a daughter Tina-Louise Albanesi, a sister Irene Farrington and two brothers Elmer and Stanley Saunders.

The family will receive friends in the Hull Funeral Home 60 Division Street Danbury, CT on Sunday March 18, 2012 from 3-7 pm with a memorial service at 5:30 pm.
