Robert R. Albe, Jr., age 68, died March 2, 2012 at Concord Hospital in Concord, NH, with his daughter Vivan Albe of Alton, NH at his bedside.
Born April 6, 1943, son of Robert R. and Vivian (Mataya) Albe Sr. “Albe” was a lifelong resident of Central Jersey and couldn’t imagine living any where else.
“Albe” was born in to the sanitation business, following the footsteps of his father. He loved driving sanitation trucks of all types and sizes, he did it for over 50 years! Albes favorite saying throughout the neighborhood was “The smell of garbage is the smell of money”!
“Albe” enjoyed the uncomplicated life style, hanging around the local 7-11 and Wawa, if you listen closely, you might hear a story or two about him, when buying your next cup of coffee. He will be missed!
He is survived by his children: a son: Richard R. Albe of Alton, NH and 2 daughters: Corey J. Lanzara of Melbourne, FL and Vivian L. Albe of Alton, NH, 4 brothers: Richard Albe of Trenton, NJ, Kevin Smith of Florida, Jack Albe and Paul Albe both of Keansburg, NJ, also a sister: Carol Albe of Middletown, NJ,Grandchildre: James R. Lanzara of Florida and Jamie R. Lanzara of NJ,also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret M. Albe and a daughter Mary R. Albe.
Interment will be at 11:00 am on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Shoreland Memorial, Highway 36 in Hazlet New Jersey, everyone is welcome back to the Red Oak Diner, Highway 35 for coffee and reflection.
