Floyd “Andy” Rudolph Anderson, 81, of Cumming, GA died comfortably at his home on February 10, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, NY on Feb 9, 1931, he was the son of the late August and Florence Anderson. His beloved wife of 53 years, Elda Borsi Anderson, predeceased him on March 2nd, 2008. Andy fought courageously against Scleroderma which took him to our Lord after a wonderfully lived life.

Andy retired after 21 years of dedicated service to his country from the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing of the United States Air Force as an active duty Lt. Colonel in Jan 1973. He became a small business owner for a number of years before he retired completely in 1987. He will be remembered for his love of music as he was an accomplished pianist. He played music for the church for a number of years in different cities where he resided including Bethleview United Methodist and was an avid member and officer of the American Legion.

He is survived by his present wife E. Anne Anderson of Cumming, GA; sons, Jeff (Sylvia) Anderson of Cumming, GA and Neil Anderson of Fallbrook, CA; daughters, Lisa (Greg) Auth of Ellicott City, MD and Linda (Bruce) Chadd of Florence, OR; grandchildren, Michelle Fowler, Rachel, Haley and Shelby Anderson Christopher Anderson, Trevor and Kendall Auth, and great-grandchildren, Bethany, Abigail and Jeffrey Fowler; extended family, Theresa and Steve Moon, David and Sandy Ferguson, John and Amy Ferguson; and grandchildren, Emma, Ethan and Eli Ferguson, Lauren Elizabeth Ferguson, Taylor and Conner Moon.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, January 13, 2012 at Bethelview United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Monday, January 13 at the church.
