Stacy was born March 14, 1976 to Darrell and Linda (Burns) Critten at Trenton, MO. She graduated from Gallatin High School in 1994 and attended Hannibal LaGrange College with a degree in Human Services. She did a summer practicum at the Daviess County Family Services. Stacy was a lifelong resident of the area living on the family farm east of Gallatin.

Stacy was a dedicated member of the Gallatin First Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in Church activities. She was a popular member of the community, who loved to tease her family and friends affectionately. Stacy looked forward to the times she could go out with her friends to see a movie, and she delighted in eating out; especially at Chinese Restaurants. She was a doting aunt who loved her nieces Hannah and Leah; having them around always made her happy. She greatly enjoyed taking family vacations and spending the winter’s in Florida was always a highlight. She had a heart of gold and a smile that would melt your heart. Her strong faith, love of family and the ability to see good in all things made her the young lady she was. Stacy was an inspiration who blessed so many lives. Her legacy and strength will continue on and leave an imprint in our memories. Our lives have been enriched by having shared her friendship and love. Stacy will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Stacy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Maurice and Dorothy Critten, maternal grandparents, Gerald and Dorothy Burns, uncle Roger Critten and aunt Vickie Burns.

Stacy’s survivors include her loving parents, Darrell and Linda Critten of the home, 2 brothers: Scott Critten, Lance Critten and wife Angel, all of Gallatin, 2 nieces: Hannah & Leah Critten, numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins and a community of friends.
