Visitation: Family and friend Celebration of Life visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday January 28 at the Funeral Home in Jamesport.
Service: Twyla M. Breer 54 of Jamesport, MO passed away Friday evening January 20, 2012 as the result of a car accident.
Twyla was born February 12, 1957 to Ronald Lee and May Dale (Moore) Heriford in Kirkwood, MO. In her early years she worked various jobs. After the birth of her son, James, Twyla was a stay at home mom, taking care of his every need. At the time of her death, she was employed at the Casey’s General Store in Gallatin. Twyla was united in marriage to Lonnie L. Breer April 21, 2000 at Tonka State Park in Camdenton, MO. The couple moved to Jamesport in 2001.
Twyla was a remarkable woman who enjoyed singing, loved to go camping, and was a devoted member of the Grand River Muzzleloaders Association, a pre 1840’s style rendezvous mountain man club. She looked forward to the gatherings where hundreds of people would camp in canvas tents, wear primitive dress of various sorts, socialize, shoot black powder weapons, throw tomahawks and knives and practice various other skills that were used to survive in that time.
Twyla had a heart the size of the moon. She was not just a loving mother, wife and grandmother but a best friend and confidante. She was tough as nails, but loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Twyla was preceded in death by her father Ronald Lee Heriford.
Twyla is survived by her husband Lonnie Breer of the home, son, James Robert Moore of Eldon, MO, mother, Dale Heriford of Nixa, MO, brothers, Daniel Heriford of Merced, CA, Martin Heriford of St. Louis, MO, sisters, Tanya Parker and Ronda Heriford, both of Nixa, MO, and grandchild Cheyenne Nicole Moore of Macks Creek, MO.
