Margie M. Nogueira

Margie M. Nogueira, age 84, of Edgewater, passed away at home Friday, January 6, 2012, with her family by her side.

Born April 21, 1927 in Woodbine, Maryland. Mrs. Nogueira is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Charles and Nancy Riffenburg of Edgewater, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Marjorie Nogueira of Glen Burnie, Maryland; and grandson, Charles Riffenburg III of Saint Augustine, Florida. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Wallace D. Nogueira; and her grandson, Manuel E. Nogueira. Margie worked as a LPN after WWII at Spring Grove Hospital in Sykesville, Maryland where she met her husband. She received a degree in Motel Management from the AMM School. Later she attended Anne Arundel Community College where she received her AA degree in Business Management. In her later years after retiring to Florida she worked in real estate and as a door greater for Wal-Mart. Margie loved spending time with her family and cats. She loved to read and watch any science fiction she could find. She had a big loving heart and will be greatly missed by her family, cats, and friends. Margie will be buried with her husband and grandson in Glen Haven Memorial Park, Glen Burnie, Maryland. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, at Glen Haven Memorial Park with the Reverend James G. Kirk officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Nogueira's name to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129.
