Trumer Lee "Buck" Dunmore was born on December 9, 1947 in West Helena, Arkansas to the late John Henry Dunmore and Mary Bell Dunmore. He attended the Helena-West Helena schools and graduated from Eliza Miller in 1967. He soon joined the United States Army.
Buck accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful and active member.
Buck was united as life partners to Gloria Sloan in 1973, and they have been in Holy matrimony for 38 years. To this union three children were reared. He was a jack of all trades; he was an apprentice plumber, and a certified mechanic and carpenter. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening. His slogan was "I can do anything except fly a plane or have a baby!" He retired from Vicksburg Corps of Engineers of 25 years in December of 2009
On Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011, Buck gave the highest thanks to Christ by answering his call.
Buck was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, sister, and nephew.
He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Gloria Dunmeor of Helena-West Helena; three children, Wendy (PAm) of Jacksonville, FL, Tyrus Sloan of Las Vegas, NV and Heidi (Tommy) Winfield of Helena-West Helena; one sister Mary Ann (Floyd) Buford of Lexa, AR. Buck was blessed in life to have eleven grandchildren, Eboni, Ernest Jr., Forrest Murphy of Atlanta, GA, Tyrus Jr., Anterio, Ashley Sloan of Helena-West Helena, AR, Shanei Sloan of Jonesboro, AR, Jamarius Garden of Las Vegas, NV, Destiny Boyland and Anaya Windfield of Helena-West Helena, and Tomyria Winfield of Clarksdale, MS and a sister- in- law, Jennifer Langston of Helena-West Helena, AR; four great grandchildren, three nephews, three nieces, and a host of cousins. A special son - in- law, Ernest Murphy Sr.; three very special close friends, who visited daily, Walter Moss, Wilbert Gaines, and Arthur Reed Sr.; and a host of other friends.
