Helen C. Oehlenschlager, age 84, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Greentree Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 24, 1927, daughter of the late Herman F. and Olga (Voigt) Knickrehm. On April 12, 1947, Helen was united in marriage to Charles J. Oehlenschlager at St. John Lutheran Church, in Sullivan, WI. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Big Falls and operated Lake View Bar by Kellers Lake for over 26 years. Helen is survived by two sons; Charles H. “Butch” (Joanne) of Jefferson, and David of Marion, one grandson; Luke, three great-grandchildren and one dear sister; Marilyn Klettke. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her husband; Charles, three sisters; Emily Weidner, Dorothy Allison and Louise Rohde, two brothers; Al and Harold Zutz.
A Funeral Service for Helen will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 30, 2011 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Big Falls. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until the hour of service at the church. Helen will be laid to rest this spring in Roseland Cemetery.
