Wathson Adelson was born on a beautiful Tuesday morning, August, 13, 1991 at 6:00am to Magalie Adelson and Kerlin Adelson in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Born happy and healthy at 10lbs, it was nothing for Wathson to drink nine bottles of milk every day. At the age of 6 years, Wathson moved to Tampa, Florida joining his mother, father and his older brother. Wathson grew to be a handsome and strikingly tall man standing 6’ 4”, 260lbs. He was known to his loved-ones and community as the “Gentle Goofy Giant”
Attending Lythia Springs Elementary School, Wathson learned English and developed his love for learning. At an early age Wathson found his heart and the love of his life, Dee Dee Adelson (the family dog). At Memorial Middle School, Wathson earned the highest FCAT scores two years in a row in all of Hillsborough County School District. In 2010, Wathson graduated from Middleton High School with a 3.6 GPA. He played on the varsity football team his sophomore through senior year as a defensive and offensive tackle. Friends and fans celebrated him in his #72 maroon and gold uniform starting every single game.
January 7, 2006 Wathson was baptized with his mother and his brothers, into the Tampa First SDA Church. There he served with his mother and brothers in the Tampa First Pathfinder Club. When he was not with the Pathfinders, he helped look after of the younger children of the church. Wathson found guidance and a confidant in his mentors and partners in crime, Eddie Kearse and Tony Belliamy.
August 4, 2010, Wathson attended St. Augustine College in Raliegh, NC. Wathson was accepted on a full four-year Athletic scholarship for football. A month later, he was accepted and enrolled in Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC, where he studied criminal justice.
October 7, 2011 Wathson Adelson, Jr. was welcomed into the family at 3lbs, first born to Wathson Adelson and his friend.
Unfortunately, on the morning of Monday, November 21, 2011, Wathson suffered a fatal injury bringing the dreams and aspirations for his life and his new-born son to a premature end.
Then on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at the age of 20, Wathson took his final rest in the Lord, awaiting the return of our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ.
