Rebecca Lynn Bapp, 21, of Brownington passed away suddenly on November 12, 2011 at North Country Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on January 31, 1990 in Newport to George and April (Chase) Bapp. Rebecca graduated from Lake Region Union High School in 2008, as the Valedictorian of her class. She earned her Associates Degree from Community College of Vermont in 2011 and was working on her Bachelors Degree at Johnson State College. Rebecca was employed by the United States Department of Agriculture at the Farm Service Agency in Newport and by the Community College of Vermont. She also worked occasionally at the Brownington Town Clerk’s office. Rebecca spent most of her free time with her boyfriend, Dylan Dewing and her cat, Mitzy. She also spent a lot of time with her family and loved them all dearly. Rebecca enjoyed shopping and going to the movies with her sister and her mother. Her cousins, Chase and Dawson Walters, were more than just cousins. Rebecca, Hannah, Chase and Dawson enjoyed four-wheeling and camping together. She is survived by: her mother and father, April and George Bapp, and her only sister Hannah Bapp, of Brownington; her boyfriend, Dylan Dewing and his family; her great grandmother, Beverly Harbec, of Barton; her grandparents: Larry Chase and Beverly White of Brownington, Linda Chase and Gerald Pray of Brownignton, and Audrey Messier of Derby; her Aunts and Uncles: Eliza and Melvin Walters of Orleans, David and Julie Chase of Brownington, Charles and Diane Bapp of Barton, and Tammy and Steve Jewett of Irasburg; and cousins: Chase and Dawson Walters of Orleans, Charlie, Heather, and David Chase, Brent Bapp of Barton, Lance Bapp of Milton, and Lonnie Grffin of Irasburg. Rebecca was predeceased by her grandfathers: Charles Bapp and Dale Messier. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Rd, Newport. A graveside service will be held on Thursday November 17, 2011 at the Brownington Center Cemetery at 2:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Rebecca Bapp Memorial Fund at any Community National Bank.
