Born September 15, 1923 in Fairfield, WA; died October 6, 2011 in Seattle, WA. She is survived by Robert Sonju, Sr., her loving husband of 20 years; her children, Vince, Gary (Tess), Dirk (Linn), Chad (Janice); her grandchildren, Brad, Barbara, Debra, Jeremy, Heather, Andrew, Jana, Briana, Kimi, Jeff, and Amy; and 12 great-grandchildren. Lillian is also survived by her stepson, Robert Sonju, Jr. (Gi Gi) and his children and grandchildren. Lillian was preceded in death in 1986 by her first husband, Warren Vincent Bartram. Lillian was raised in Yakima and graduated from Yakima High School in 1940. She married Warren in San Diego, CA during World War II, not certain her new husband would return from the war. He did, and Lillian and Warren moved to Richland, WA where they raised their four sons and where Lillian worked as an auditor for Hanford government contractors. After Warren passed away, she married Robert Sonju, with whom she had another beautiful marriage. Lillian and Robert moved to Seattle in 2004. Lillian was relentless in her love and work. Recitation of the Rosary will be today, Sunday, at 3 PM at Hoffner Fisher & Harvey Chapel 508 N. 36th St. Seattle, WA 98103 Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 10th, at 2 PM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 405 N. 117th St., Seattle 98133.
