Rev. Todd Everett Annis, 32, of Jacksonville, was called home by the Lord on September 17, 2011.
He was a lifelong native of Jacksonville and was the youth pastor at First Assembly of God in Macclenny, where he organized the youth group, IGNITE. He was a spiritual mentor to the Baker County High School and Middle School football teams; organized the Phase II events at the BCHS Christian Fellowship Group; organized overseas mission trips; preached at the City Rescue Mission in downtown Jacksonville, and was a member of “Endless Sacrifice,” which performed at the Jacksonville Landing. His hobbies included building model airplanes and he loved the Florida Gators.
He is survived by his wife, Lauren O’Neal Annis; brother, Tommy (Amy) Annis; parents, Thomas E. Annis and Betty L. Annis; father-in-law and mother-in law, Tony and Barbara O’Neal; nephews, Luke and Daniel; grandmother, Evelyn Sellers, and many aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at First Baptist Church Glen St. Mary, 9846 George Taber Blvd., Glen St. Mary, with Rev. Joshua Potts officiating, assisted by Rev. Tim Staier and Rev. Shane Comellas. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
