Edward Harry “Eddie” Albright, Sr. 70, of North Charleston, husband of Gayle Houser Albright, died Monday, August 29, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 11 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Oakbrook Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Friends may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 South Main Street, Summerville on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock. Mr. Albright was born April 21, 1941 in Haskell, New Jersey, son of the late Charles and Florence Albright. He was a graduate of schools in New Jersey. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and collecting antiques. He retired from the City of North Charleston as Purchasing Director and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, North Charleston.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: 2 sons and one daughter: Steven Houser (Patty) of Mount Pleasant, Theresa Bowen (Bill) of Goose Creek and Edward Albright, II (William Jones) of Savannah, Georgia, three grandchildren: Michael and Maggie Houser both of Mount Pleasant and Matthew Bowen of Goose Creek. He was predeceased by a granddaughter: Meagan Bowen.
