ALTON: Patricia “Pat” Fuller, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro. Born in York, Maine on June 1, 1957, the daughter of Kip and Barbara Berkenbush and the late Philip M. Blake, Pat was raised in West Newbury, Massachusetts where her family was active in town government and public service, an interest she carried with her throughout her life. She lived in Alton for the past 21 years, where she served the community as its first female selectman as well as being a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. She was dedicated to her role as a public servant and always stayed true to her personal beliefs.

Pat graduated from Pentucket Regional High School in 1975 where she was active in sports including field hockey, basketball and track. She went on to the University of Lowell where she graduated in 1979 with a degree in criminal justice. During her time at college she coached at the Dave Cowens Basketball Camp, interned with former Massachusetts State Representative Bernie Flynn and was a clarinetist with the Westfield State Wind Filled Harmonic Orchestra.

We remember:

During her career she was employed in the fields of healthcare, legal, transportation and education.

Pat was an avid Nascar Fan; especially for #24 Jeff Gordon, she was a member of the Farmington Fish and Game Club and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She enjoyed making hooked and braided rugs and crafts and received awards from local and state fairs for her crafts.

Pat especially enjoyed spending time with her three granddaughters and their families.
