Davis-Miller Funeral Home
Willard Bredehoeft, age 83, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011, at the Sylvia Thompson Care Center in Sedalia, MO. He was born on August 27, 1927, in Blackburn, MO, the son of Alvin and Esther Zumbehl Bredehoeft.
He grew up in Blackburn and graduated from high school. On October 5, 1947, he was united in marriage to Ethel Fricke at Emma, MO. He lived most of his life near Alma, MO. He was a dairyman, farmer, and charolais breeder.
In 1980, they moved to the Warsaw/Lincoln area. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and searching for bargains at auctions. He operated E & W Flea Market in Lincoln for many years, where he spent many hours visiting with friends. He always treasured spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Donald Bredehoeft.
Surviving is his wife, Ethel, of Sylvia Thompson in Sedalia, two daughters, Connie Skelton and husband, David, of Warrensburg and Kathy Wilborn of Syracuse, a sister, Alverna Nierman of Concordia, seven grandchildren, Amy Stilfield (Eric) of Sedalia, Tim Evert (Janet) of Warrensburg, Jeff Evert (Jennifer) of Holden, Sara Lentz (Josh) of Green Ridge, Daniel Skelton (Monica) of Grain Valley, Matt Skelton (Jackie) of Warrensburg and Stephanie Guin (Ryan) of Lee’s Summit, eight great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, MO. Graveside services at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday in Blackburn, MO at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery of Blackburn. Friends may call after 9:00 AM Monday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO.
