Dr. Edwin Ruffin Andrews

Dr. Edwin Ruffin Andrews 93 died Tuesday April 17, 2007. Services will be 11:00 AM Friday at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lamar Carney officiating. Burial will be in Memory Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Andrews was born July 4, 1914 in Baldwin County. He was a graduate of Georgia Military College, and Presbyterian College. He earned his Masters degree from Emory University and his Ph.D from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He worked as a research chemist in the pharmaceutical field with Merrill Laboratories, in Cincinnati, OH until his retirement in 1976. He was preceded in death by his parent s Louis Harris Andrews and Antoinette Ector Andrews, and his brothers Hugh Andrews, Joseph Terrell Andrews and Louis H. Andrews. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Milledgeville where he served as a Deacon and Elder.

Survivors include a niece Oberle Brown of Tallahassee, FL.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made the First Presbyterian Church 210 S. Wayne St. Milledgeville, Georgia 31061.

Moores Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
