Gertrude Elizabeth Bledsoe, age 92, of Queen City, Texas died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at a local nursing home.
Mrs. Bledsoe was born August 18, 1918 in Myra, Louisiana. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and had owned City Hall Café for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Delanie Bledsoe and two sons, Bryan Delanie Bledsoe and Glendle Virgil Bledsoe.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary N. Pierce, of Queen City, Texas, six grandchildren, Clifford D. Bledsoe, of Picayune, Mississippi, Bryan Bledsoe, of Alton, Missouri, Glenn Barfield, of Florida, Bobbie Loehr, of Texarkana, Arkansas, D’Ann Woodard, of Wake Village, Texas and Debbie Bledsoe, of Tennessee, 14 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 28, 2011 at East Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mark Eakin officiating.
Visitation will be 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
