Annamae Pioske Anderson (Anne), age 84, of Elk River, died 12/22/10. Anne was born on September 26th 1926 in New Ulm, Minnesota. She grew up on a farm with her brothers and sisters, but knew early on that she wanted a career. She left the farm to get her teaching certificate and taught in a one-room school house before being swept off her feet by Allan Anderson and was soon married in October of 1948. While raising four children, she taught school and went to college to finish her education degree. She taught elementary school for 25 years ending her career at Parker Elementary in Elk River. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and considered the men and women there her second family. Anne loved the outdoors and shared that love with her husband, children, grandchildren and students. She and Allan spent their last years together golfing and enjoying their retirement in Becker and Silver Bay, Minnesota. She is survived by her children Gail Weber, Jane Sawyer, Dana Anderson (Patti) , Ross Anderson (Anita); her grandchildren Jason Weber (Rebecca), Nathan Weber (Catherine), Briana Weber Robinson (Christopher), Jessica Sawyer (Jeff Pilacinski), Alison Sawyer (Graham Taylor), Sara Sawyer, Sharra Anderson, Angelina Anderson, Brittany Anderson; her great grandchildren: Benjamin, Amelia, Grace, Greta, Mila, Elise, Liam, and Adelle; her sisters Nell Akre, Lois Holmberg (Dick), and her brothers Mark Pioske (Carol) and Daniel Pioske. She is predeceased by her husband Allan Anderson and her sister Grace Fuhs. Funeral Service 11 AM Monday at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 1326 -4th St. NW, Elk River. Visitation 4-7 PM Sunday at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St. NE, Elk River (763-441-1212). Interment Becker Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
