Crawford offers Speaker Services to the Community
Chuck Crawford founded Mortuary Associates Inc. in June of 1985 and since that beginning; he has amassed a wealth of experience that he enjoys sharing with others. Mr. Crawford was the pathology assistant with Nashville General Hospital and the Davidson County Medical Examiners Office at a time when the staff consisted of himself and two part time Doctors and continued until 1985 when the department became a regional forensic science center. Today, Mortuary Associates Inc. is still providing autopsy assistance and morgue direction services at St. Thomas Hospital and at one time was contracted to provide the same clinical assistance at four other hospitals in the Nashville area. This experience has provided Mr. Crawford with an insight that sets him apart from most other funeral services practioners.
For the last ten years, Mr. Crawford has been asked to serve as an expert witness in trials relating to the funeral services industry in state and federal courts in Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. The trials involved topics ranging from the legality of independent casket stores, the class action case involving the Tri-States Crematory in Noble Georgia and various other matters on which Mr. Crawford was recognized as an expert in the operation of a funeral home and crematory business and the standard of care that is expected to be observed by all.
In the 26 years that Mr. Crawford and his wife Heide have operated the funeral division of Mortuary Associates Inc., they have worked from their current main location on Grandview Avenue, a beautiful location in Franklin TN, a modern traditional funeral facility on Murfreesboro Pike and they opened a funeral home on the grounds of Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville, TN.
