The weeks between Thanksgiving and the New Year can be an especially difficult time for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. At this time of year when everyone is celebrating, those who are grieving often feel apprehensive and unsure of how to handle all the holiday activities. The Vigen Memorial Home strives to offer assistance by hosting a Holiday Remembrance Program.
The Holiday Remembrance Program will include a message of hope, suggestions for coping with the demands of the holiday season and a Remembrance candle-lighting ceremony where our loved ones are remembered by name as candles are lit.
Following the program, refreshments will be served and everyone is invited to hang a handcrafted ornament on the Remembrance Tree which will be displayed throughout the holiday season as a visual remembrance of those we have loved and lost.
Anyone who has lost a loved one and finds the holiday season difficult is encouraged to attend this evening of caring support.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at anytime. We are available 24 hours a day by e-mail or by phone at (319) 524-3377 or 1-800-524-3395.
We are here to serve you and help you honor the memory of your loved one.
