Born in West Reading he is the son of the late Loretta C. (Boland) Kuhn, and the late Edward J. Kuhn (Founder of the Kuhn Funeral Home).
Ed is the husband of Lynda (Hudson) and has five children Edward J., III and Michael R. both of Wyomissing, Andy of San Antonio, Texas, David of Philadelphia and Elizabeth Kuhn a student at Providence College, Providence Rhode Island. Ed also enjoys his tweleve grandchildren.
He is a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church where is a eucharistic minister, lector and a former member of the church council.
Kuhn is the Vice-President of the West Reading - Wyomissing Lions Club. He is also in charge of the West Reading summer basketball league, which he has run for over 35 years. Through this league he began the West Reading Sacramento, CA Basketball Exchange. Each year a team travels to the other's area to play basketball , travel and learn the other's culture. Sacramento traveled to West Reading this June and it marked the 30th year of the exchange.
