In 1930, America was in the beginning of the Great Depression. Milk was 14 cents a quart and bread was 9 cents a loaf. The income of the average family was reduced 40% from $2,300 to $1,500 a year. It was then Memorial Funeral Home of Mississippi wrote the first burial policy for $150. For almost three years this was the standing cost for all funerals.
After World War II, Andrew C. Puckett bought the interests of his other stockholders and further incorporated his family into the business. Today Memorial Funeral Home is owned and operated by Andrew C. Puckett's son and grandson, Willis N. Puckett II and Greg Puckett. Along with the staff of dedicated professionals, Memorial Funeral Home continues to provide generations of experience and a caring attitude to those who need us.
